What does it cost to hire a videoconference facility?

The costs of hiring a videoconference facility are made up from:

1. Room hire per hour.
2. Scheduling fee - £35/$70 per meeting

Additionally if the facility is to dial out to the connecting site via ISDN then there will be connection costs. If both sites connect via IP then there are no other charges.

The room hire costs vary depending on the location and the time of day you wish to hire (eg in or out of office hours).

Hire starts from £80 / $125 per hour.

This trial took place over 1 week.  One key witness was in Mumbai.  She needed to be interviewed on 2 consecutive days.  Eyenetwork was asked to book a central Mumbai location from 2.30pm-8.30pm in Mumbai (9am – 3pm in the UK).

The solicitor sent Eyenetwork the court contact details.  Eyenetwork booked Mumbai, arranged a test call, sent a map of the location and contact details for the witness (via the Solicitor). 

Day 1 was for 6 hours and day 2 for just 3 hours.

Hourly rate of the facility was £120 / $190

Day 1 cost the UK Crown Prosecution Service £755

Day 2 cost the Crown Prosecution Service £395

The case was settled on the third day with full costs being recovered.
