Financial incentives saw the high courts at Kuching, Sibu and Miri install equipment in 2007. Supported by the Selangor Bar Council (SBC), the use of videoconferencing has increased and since then, the Sarawak Courts have conducted 1200 videoconference hearings.
Sibu and Bintulu High Courts introduced equipment to their courts in July 07 and March 08 respectively and all legal practitioners have been encouraged to make use of the equipment.
